Prayer Requests

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to send out some prayer requests. So if you think about it...

Over on Vashti's blog, baby Bella is struggling to breathe and has a bad infection. She's about two months premature. You can grab a button for your blog on when you visit Grains of Sand.

Also, my Uncle (he's about 50 years old) had kidney failure on Sunday and is suffering from septic shock. On Sunday, we were thinking it would be okay. Right now, we're uncertain. He's been put on breathing machines and feeding tubes and it's starting to look really bad.

If you could please keep them in your prayers, we would greatly appreciate it.

I'm Doing It (Just Call Me Baldie)

I told my husband that I was either going to shave my head or get a tattoo. As it turns out, I'm just going to do both.



This is the longest my hair has been in years, since before my wedding. And I'm going to shave it all off for cancer research. :) If you're willing to donate, or just want to learn about it, please click on the link below. My goal is $1,000, so I guess we'll see, right?

Hair grows back. And I like to see this as an adventure, a walk with God and really seeing how much my husband loves who I am and who I'm becoming. ;)

Would You Ever...

I'm wondering, would you ever shave your head for charity? I was reading about a woman who raised $6,000 for child cancer research by shaving her head.

If you could raise money for cancer research, would you willingly shave your head?

The Wedding Cupcakes!!

My brother-in-law's wedding was this weekend!



My sister-in-law and I offered to make the cupcake cake/groom's cake. It involved like, 160 cupcakes.



We built the stand ourselves.



And we had an amazing taste tester.



And she knew what was good.



And even though there were a few tears, it really turned out well!





And now I want to get some of these...



and make some awesome cupcakes!!!

How are you doing? I know that I've been bad about updating...and I probably will continue to be. Sorry, I'll just be honest. :) But I'll do my best!!

I've always loved quotations and I thought I'd share some with you before I go to bed this early morning. This is the latest I've stayed up in awhile and it feels good. Makes me feel my age :)
