Aaaaaannnnnnddddd...it's gone.

This is before Vindaloo was comfortable with us and this is Steve with a 'stache.

That title is technically about a few things. We have a few things that are gone. But the biggest one is...

My husband's mustache.

He couldn't do it anymore. Plus, I kind of made a deal. I volunteered us to give a talk, together, as a couple, at church on tithing and he was like, what?! And then after that, he said okay...but that he could shave the mustache. Which is fine because...really...it was like he'd JUST hit puberty. I love him, but growing facial hair is not his thing.

But at least he raised $80 for pediatric cancer!!

What? I don't think that you're busy at all...

This is our not so timid cat. She is ridiculous. I woke up this morning and she was on my head. And then, just a minute ago, she was trying to drink my husband's brandy. Right now, she's chasing a light all over our apartment. I love it :)

I would also like to ask a favor. I've been praying for a few people and if you could pray for Kenz as she struggles in her journey with the Lord and praise God with Karsie who's finally going home after being in the NICU since her birth. I know that God is working through us for each other and prayer is such a huge vehicle. :) Thank you!

How are you doing? How's your week been?

Mr. Studson

Yes. I married that lovely man.

I tried my hand at making sushi, so we had to take pictures. Some of those pictures are priceless. But there's a reason for this picture...

HE SIGNED UP FOR MUSTACHES VS. CANCER!!!

I couldn't be more proud. But he said that if he looks like he's a pedophile or homeless for more than 2 weeks, it goes. But I'm hoping that people will donate and then he has to keep it. ;)

If you'd like to visit his page, it's this one: http://www.mustachesvscancer.org/index.php?task=profile&id=259

We'll have a better picture up tomorrow.

It's been a great weekend so far.

1) I won a doll from BabyBeBlessed! I have been obsessed...umm...in love with the dolls. I want to collect a few to take with when I go visit Vashti in South Africa. But this one is going to be for one of our sponsor children. She's adorable and I think she'd appreciate it.

2) I thought I lost my make-up, but I found it! I had a 'mini-meltdown' as Steve called it, but I found the make-up in my desk at work. I know. Don't ask!

3) We had a REALLY good dinner. I've been saving up to take Steve out for earning his CPA license and we went to Peter Luger's in Brooklyn. I think that was the BEST steak I've ever had. It was so good! If it didn't take me two months to save up for it, I'd want to go back immediately.

4) Today is Zombiewalk!! Steve's at work, so I'm doing my best to make him proud and am cleaning and DOING THE LAUNDRY WHILE I TYPE THIS!!! I never thought I'd be able to say that.

What about you? What are you up to this weekend?

Mustaches vs. Cancer

Update: My husband is still claiming he can't grow facial hair, but I did get my friend to sign up for it!! So excited!! Need some more ideas on how to get my husband to join.

Have you ever heard of this? It's called Mustaches vs. Cancer and it was started by Memorial Sloan-Kettering as a fundraiser for their pediatric cancer center. The tagline is:

Kids Can't Grow Mustaches and They Shouldn't Have Cancer Either

I feel like that's pretty accurate. If I could grow a mustache, I would. But since I cannot, my goal is to now get my husband to grow a mustache.

I should let you know beforehand that my husband thinks I am crazy. And that I have ridiculous crazy ideas. I should also let you know, that, after a little while, my husband typically thinks that maybe my crazy ideas are somewhat sane and then decides to scheme with me or says, 'I trust you to make the right decision.'

So far, his answer to whether or not he will participate is, 'I don't know.'

I'll keep you posted on whether or not he does it. :)
