I told my husband that I was either going to shave my head or get a tattoo. As it turns out, I'm just going to do both.
This is the longest my hair has been in years, since before my wedding. And I'm going to shave it all off for cancer research. :) If you're willing to donate, or just want to learn about it, please click on the link below. My goal is $1,000, so I guess we'll see, right?
Hair grows back. And I like to see this as an adventure, a walk with God and really seeing how much my husband loves who I am and who I'm becoming. ;)

That's a great picture of you guys. How come Steve and his siblings look NOTHING alike?
ReplyDeleteAlso, kudos for taking the shaved head plunge. I think it will be a look that suits you! Keep me posted.
Beautiful picture. Congratulations on the new adventure. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

That is awesome!! Not sure if I'd be that brave, but maybe for such a good cause...
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by today! And by the way, my cupcakes look totally wimpy compared to yours.
Thank you for doing this -- it makes such a difference to those of us with children "in the fight." And St. Baldrick's is a fabulous and well-respected organization. Over the past five years, it has funded more research into childhood cancer than any other entity except the US government (more even than the National Cancer Society whose efforts center mostly on adult cancers). I have watched many women shave their heads at St Baldrick's events and they often look stunning bald. Bravo!!
ReplyDeleteOh and you can pick kids from the profiles on the St B's site to "honor" with your head-shaving. My Austin is there.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHHAA! Why doesnt this surprise me? My cousin shaved her hair, it was almost down to her waist, in support of her friend who was having chemo.
ReplyDeletehave you decided on what tattoo you are getting yet?
Almost at the counting down that days part. Cant wait to see you.
love you.
xxxxx
Wow. Like just shave it completely off to baldheadedness. You are way brave than I am. I woudl be scared I would have a pimply bumpy skull.
ReplyDeleteHi, thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE AWESOME!!!! That is just an amazing, amazing thing to do. And yes, hair grows back and love grows bigger.
God Bless You!

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog today.
my comment did not post right... maybe I was in the middle of editing. I meant... It is so great that you are going to shave your head!
ReplyDeleteoh- and I realized that my new Profile pic cuts my head off so I've changed it.
WOW! You're so brave! One both counts! Good for you! I have a tat and getting it killed!!! As for the hair I've had short hair my whole adult life, been growing it out for the passed 2 years and now, I could never go back. Guess I'm vain! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog today!!!
WOW! You are brave, I have a male friend doing this, I don't think I could! I did cut off 11 inches and donate it to Locks of Love, but I don['t think I could do bald....it wouldn't be a good look!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you stopped by from SITS. I can't believe how brave you are. Good luck with your goal!!!
ReplyDeleteWow - wonderful of you! That's a somewhat long-term commitment for us ladies. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteThanks for having stopped by. =)
ReplyDeleteIt's such a great thing you're doing! You're right, it grows back and it's a magnificent cause.
I'm a breast cancer survivor, and while I was going through chemo, my youngest sister cut her hair super-short in support of me! (And of course, she was super cute!) Hair loss was almost worse at the time than my mastectomy. (I was only 27, and couldn't believe I had to go through cancer treatment!) My hair grew back, curly! It didn't stay curly, though! :( Thank you for your bravery!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for stopping by Lemon Drop Pie yesterday. I appreciate it!
you are brave! Thanks for stopping by! :)
ReplyDeleteVery awesome! I am so in love with my hair that even just cutting it short would be an accomplishment.
