Friend-Makin' Mondays

I like Friend-Makin' Mondays! And I'm waiting for the cable guy today. I kind of need him to come soon because I gotta get to work. But for now, I'll do this!!! If you want to join in, just click here.

What are your hobbies? What do you wish that you knew how to do?

My hobbies are:

1) Traveling

This is with my brother and sister in South Korea.

This is my whole family in Cambodia.

2) I love playing board games with my husband. Scrabble!! He hates it though because he says that I always win.

3) Reading

4) Volunteering. I love to volunteer at the Animal Shelter and the Jewish Home and Hospital in Manhattan, as well as at church.

5) Finding random landmarks or oddities.

A fork in the road!! That's in upstate New York.

So is this...

6) Baking! I'm WAY better at baking then I am at cooking. :)

I used to have WAY more hobbies. I feel like I need to pick a few of them back up. I used to knit and scrapbook and write. And I've pretty much stopped all of those.

If I could learn something new...hmm...I would love to learn sign language. I don't know if you can count that, but I'd love to learn a new language. I would also like to learn how to sew. My knitting skills were HORRIBLE. I'd like to learn how to actually make things.

What about you? What are your hobbies?

  2. That fork is hilarious - what an odd thing to spot! I'm with you being better at baking than cooking. I enjoy doing both, but I'm a way better baker than I am a cook! :)

  3. I enjoy baking more than cooking too..hehe

What kind of church do you attend? To be honest, I don't really know many people who go to church here, and I haven't done it much myself. But I do think I'll look for a church home at some point.

You said on my blog that you work in TS...I don't love hanging out there, but it does make me happy to go there -- usually around midnight when it's quiet. It reminds me of everything I wanted before I moved here and makes me so grateful.

I work in Midtown, but even closer to GSC.
